I really was'nt sure about the burgundy, but now that I know it dosen't look to bright at work, I'm starting to relax and be happy about it. Everyone at my job have commented that they like it (strangely enough it was all the boys there that noticed first) and Alana, one of my co-workers went on and on about it looking better on my complection, etc ( Read more... )

Um... do you want a natural toned lipstick? Do you have to have lipstick? What about a gloss? Let me know. Oh, and what color is your hair now? Can I get a picture, it always helps (skin tone, too, since I don't memorize everyone's skin tone)? ;)

My hair is a dark purple red, burgundy says the box. My skin tone is ultra fair (I use the lightest color of foundation on the market right now.) Maybe more yellowish undertones than pink. I will take a pic here soon for you to check out....

As for lipsticks and such, i'm really no good at remembering to re-apply. I need suggestions for other good extended wear brands. Glosses seem to annoy Dan more than any other, since we share smokes, and they're kinda greasy/goopy.

Alright. I don't wear any extended wearing lipstick/gloss, but my Mom just got this one that is great. I believe it's by Revlon. I'll double check (tomorrow; she's in bed already). She has a pink. I don't know what other colors they have, but it's a double lipstick. You put on the dye and let it dry and then apply this gloss and you're set for the night. She really likes it.

I love gloss over anything. One of my favorites natural lipgloss (but it's thicker, so it's basically a lipstick not in stick form) is by Revlon called LipGlide Sheer // Sheerly Orchid (a natural, really light, light pink). If you want to get into the high-end makeup, you should take a trip to a MAC store (or counter - usually in a Marshall Feilds) and check out their lip products. They're about $15 a piece, but worth it. You can try them all on in the store (or at the counter).
