So, I'm sitting in the office at Better Than Freds essentially doing nothing. Mike's here. We're listening to Brian Regan on Mike's iPod. We've also watched one of his shows on YouTube, as well as a Dane Cook show. I think I've been here for... 1 1/2 hours, waiting for a pallet to show up.

Nah....you definitely won't be by yourself. Just have to mix and mingle. I went completely on my own last year to Witching Hour, and didn't know anyone. I managed to find some roommates for the hotel room on the boards, volunteered, got to know other costumed people, and suddenly found my LJ practically flooded with Harry Potter friends. It'll be fun! And if you get too lonely and want people to hang out with for lunch/dinner and stuff, I'll be posting my phone number on my journal on Tuesday (to mark the one week before I leave).

I'm not too worried anymore, but I am, like, chronically shy and self-conscious and habitually remain quiet for fear of embarassing myself :P I honestly don't know what my mom is going to do. She doesn't seem the type to listen to people discuss Harry Potter, and she might be upset if she hears about something she doesn't know (she's not a book reader). I'd hate to have her waste $165 on a ticket she's barely going to use. I guess we'll see.

Sounds like my mom. She hates it when I go to movies before her. (So I haven't told her I've seen Superman and Pirates already). And you're definitely not the only chronically shy person there. I most definitely fit into that category (my friends more than make up for it though).
