Yesterday morning my grandpa died. I still went to work and I did okay teaching my lesson. It was a good distraction and one of the other teachers happened to bring chocolate. I didn't get to go into mid-MO to see him and grandma over the last holiday season, and I'm feeling really bad about that, though I know that he doesn't care about that

You have my deepest condolences. Loss always seems linked to regrets and self-recriminations but please don't judge yourself too harshly for not making that holiday visit. I'm sure your grandfather knew your feelings for him and there is time still to express those feelings to the rest of your family.
