one day it will, so the way I see it, better sooner than later. I mean it's going to happen and I want to see it and then be sucked into a black whole or something.

Actually, before the black hole or supernova business (or more likely the sun shrinking into a brown dwarf) the sun will expand into a red giant. The earth will be enveloped and incinerated. It should be neat.
