DW Meme - Day 3/4 - Fave New Who Ep/Fave Doctor
Fave New Who Ep
It's between "Dalek," "School Reunion," and "Tooth and Claw."
Okay, so it's really not.
"Tooth and Claw" is my favorite episode, though the others come in close seconds. I love the banter/flirting, DT with his Scottish accent, Rose being awesome and kickass and saving herself, the Doctor being rude, the bet, the licking, the "OMG WEREWOLF" hug, the waistgrab, the knighting, "You've something of the wolf about you"--EVERYTHING. It's my happy-episode. It makes me grin. And I've watched the "feral child" bit too many times to count.
But "School Reunion" is awesome, too. I mean, there's Sarah Jane and K-9 and seriously, who WOULDN'T want DT to turn up in their class as a sub? And Rose and Sarah Jane laughing at the Doctor. And then there's that kick of angst with that "wither and die" speech and the "I used to have so much mercy" line.
Then, "Dalek" was just a bucketful of angst and anticipation and "The Doctor's scared of that? You gotta be kidding me" to "Oh holy fucking shit." And Rose rocks SO HARD this episode. How did shinyopals put it? Oh, yeah: "SHE MADE A FREAKING DALEK RE-EVALUATE ITS LIFE OPTIONS." So yeah.
Fave Doctor
So, I've seen at least one episode from each Doctor's era, including the movie so I've seen Eight. (Great Doctor, lousy movie.) But my favorite is...Ten. I have to say Ten. I love Nine, some days more than Ten honestly, but when it comes down to it, I don't read a lot of Nine fiction, so that's the ultimate deciding point. I read a LOT of Ten/Rose and TenII/Rose. And more than that, Ten made me go out and see what else DT had done so I could watch that too, though how much of that was wanting to see more of DT and hear his sexy Scottish accent and how much was DT's great acting, eh, it's a toss-up.
