I really enjoyed your story. You had humor, action, team as family, domestic, hurt/comfort, competent!Tim, and my favorite hurt!Tim. I love that you brought Rachael in she is one of my favorite guest stars on the show she is always so awesome. I am glad Kyle was reunited with his kids, very sweet. It is perfectly lovely that this is going to be a series!
I'm glad you had fun writing it, because I enjoyed reading it too.
I have to admit that I'm a fan of all of your series. I think "AALCSLT" is probably my favorite (hint, hint!), but I always get excited when I see that you've posted something new.
Writers who can post as they go amaze me. I write and then come up with new ideas and have to go back and revise. Or I realize that I've missed something important and have to go back and revise. And then... well, let's just say that I continuously have to go back and revise! :-) So every chapter of yours I read, I'm impressed all over again.
Thanks. I'm working on my goodbye to Jackson fic right now, but I think the next story in the AALCSLT series will be coming pretty soon.
I'm one of those weird writers that thinks in entire plots. I post as I go to keep the energy going. Once in a while I'll have a story with some fuzzy spots in the middle and I'll write through those before I start posting, though.
You'd laugh if you ever saw my notes, maps, etc to keep track of everything.
I am so glad that you chose to add the extra chapter instead of rushing the ending of this one. I love Tony's defense of Tim to Abby and her subsequent apology. It's very in character for her to jump to a conclusion like that only to have to rethink things later. I also love Tony telling Kyle that he saved his brother. What a poignant moment.
The Gibbs and sons vibe in the chapter becomes even more clear than in the rest of the story. I love Dr Cranston getting them on Pinterest to look at fire pits, and Gibbs assertion that it needs to be something that looks permanent.
Another story where I look forward to the eventual sequels.
