if it weren't for the lack of academic muscle behind community colleges i'd enjoy them so much more than actual universities. too bad they're pretty much only seen as a means to an end, mainly transfer. i love the intimate classes, and the unpresumptous professors with whom I feel safe enough to develop an actual relationship. not to mention the ( Read more... )

i've heard it's really cool! but also really COLD. so maybe some summer it'll make it to the top of my list. right now the top favorites are: Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Italy, and Morrocco. ;)

I was just thinking yesterday about my old creative writing prof from HCC and how I miss him. He was like the Mr. Miller of my college years, and I never had that close of a relationship with any prof at Mary Washington or Maryland. I totally agree, the intimacy and unpretentiousness of community college is great.
