Some people will always criticize, and some people will always be jealous when they see other people doing things that bring happiness and fulfillment because it reminds them that they have a choice to do that, too, and they would rather pretend they don't. I totally commend you for doing this, though. Honestly, now that I've been a full-time working adult for a couple of years, I look down a little bit on people who sort of flit around and travel on their parents' dime, don't really work or do anything worthwhile. What you're doing, working and saving and going off to do something incredibly difficult and rewarding, is very admirable. And it'll be an amazing spiritual experience, I'm sure. Anyway, sorry I always write you a book when I comment. ;) What are you doing for work now, by the way?
i happen to love your novella comments, especially since they're very wise and full of insight. ;) Right now I'm actually working for a child psychologist up in Owings Mills who does puppet theray. i don't do anyhing really professional, my tasks vary from filing and data entry to making costumes for puppets and changing the smoke alarm batteries (quite an adventure!)
Hee, "making costumes for puppets." Sounds like fun, at least some of the time. And yep, I'm still at my job. It's not the best ever, but not the worst ever either.
