Does it surprise anyone that I know a song for this occasion?

Yeah that's what I thought.

So: Christmas is the day after tomorrow. I only have half my gifts bought, have nothing wrapped, need to clean my room, nothing is decorated to the point where we do not even have a tree. Also JUST ACCORDING TO MY PREDICTIONS, THERE IS NO LONGER ANY SNOW. ( Read more... )

the time to panic is now

I have none of my gifts bought, therefore nothing wrapped, need to clean, and while there is a tree, it's pretty naked.

So, I'd say not better. But not panicking!!

Though there was one year where we didn't have a tree. We put all our presents under an end table with a fancy white candle on it and stuck an angel ornament on top the candle, the end.

I finally manged to figure out gifts for. Some of my list anyway. Not all of them. So I've got the key players taken care of.

Hahahaha, that sounds like a pretty good solution, actually. /scratches chin

hahaha, yeah that would be a problem in my family I think. My mom might go for it, but my aunt is so christmas obsessed it becomes ridiculous, and my brother would never consent to wait.

Besides which his present for his girlfriend are two pet rats, which are currently staying here to maintain the surprise, and I think he'll have to have them out by christmas at the latest, as my mom is NOT such a huge rat fan. Though I think she's softening on this a little.

Anyway, if he's giving gifts, he is going to be getting gifts or there would be storming everywhere, and that's even without taking into account the fact that new years is going to be complicated for countless other reasons.

On a related note: rats on your shoulders crawling around under your hair tickles a whole lot.

Holy crap. You are all ambitious and stuff.

I considered trying to make jewelry some time in november and promptly gave up on the idea. And I've already exhausted the idea of giving people art and stuff because I do that half of always.

Yeah well, if I had talent or experience this might have gone faster...

ffff yeah that's pretty much what I almost did. They had some make your own earrings kits and I went 'oh hey I want to learn how to do that and maybe I could make presents for [various family members]'

Only I'm too lazy to actually follow through, though I'll probably cave eventually and invest in jewelry making tools. I keep on eyeing all the beads and wire and clasps that come through my line with a speculative eye.
