I'm talking to a customer and we go through the Wii section where I see the re-released Pikmin, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Mario Tennis and the first Resident Evil. And tomorrow they're rereleasing the Metroid Prime trilogy with Wii controls

Solves the basic cost.

Of course this comes a year and a half after I get the 40gig version. Oh well. 10gigs of space left, time for a new HDD for it

Im thinking of picking up the slim soonish, but honestly, I spend more time in the living room with the 360 than in my room playing games on my own systems.

In that case its probably best to wait, unless you want the Blu-Ray playback, then by all means, its still one of the best players at its price level.
