I'm about to leave for 4 days with 40 middle schoolers in downtown, ghetto Houston. We're talking the worst of the worst. If I don't come back by Wednesday one of two things has happened:

1.) I've died

2.) I've been put in jail for killing middle schools.

Indeed, it's very very tempting, however, I didn't succumb to the urge to kill or mame them.

5th ward? Or 3rd?
Either way... been there, done that. Know what? It was an incredibly rewarding experience.

We were in both. I already have done this many many times, and sometimes it WAS rewarding experience, and then sometimes it was hell on earth. Thankfully this time was pretty good. I always like going to the shelters and that kind of thing, but what usually makes it a hard thing to do is dealing with the bratty spoiled middile schoolers. But I'm very glad to say this trip was a good one in the grand scheme of things.
