My cousin Jenn is getting married this July in Texas. I just sent out the RSVP card & bought the plane tickets. Now I need to find the right dress. I actually have several dresses in possession but I want to splurge a little on myself since I just had my b-day. So anyways here are my choices. Ok, the only person wearing a white dress to a wedding is usually supposed to be just the bride. and white doesn't hide just like you said.

Unless you're tan, I generally don't like yellow on pale skin tones (like me..I can't wear yellow) I just feel that it blends and clashes w/ the skin. Certain tones look great w/ paler tones though.

Unless you want a lot of attention, then the red dress since it usually stands out.

I personally like the blue tube one (the blah color, which doesnt seem too blah too me but think of all the accessories!!), the green one (if it isn't too long when you try it on. you can always hemm it??) and the floral one.

The white dress would be really intrusive to wear on a wedding. I was hoping they had it in a different color but Neiman Marcus online does not usually carry other colors.

I have natural tan, lol so I think I can sport that yellow pretty well. I just have to try it out before I buy it, there are just some colors that doesnt go with your skin tone no matter what.

Omg, I really wish I'd have a evening dinner party at work or something because I would love to buy that RED dress & wear it. Its actually made by Vera Wang and its on sale for $500 smackaroos!

Yeah you're right! The blue tube baby dress would be awesome with some smashing accessories =)

The green dress is what I'm actually eyeing. I might end up hemming it too I just need a really good tailor to do it coz they might ruin that beautiful dress.

my picks are the red, floral and the tube dress with the blah color. i don't think the color is blah, actually it's so pretty. the red definitely will make every head turns when u walk in. the floral is so summery and pretty. good luck girl =)

i have two weddings to attend also this summer...i found the first dress already but i'm still searching for the 2nd one. i wish my camera works so i can show u the pic. i'll try to find the pic on diane vonfurstenberg and show it to u.

I just noticed my cousin's color motif is red, the dress might actually fit in hahaha! Although people at the party will wonder why I'm not part of the entourage.

oohh lemme take a lookie! =) I keep going to Diane Vonfurstenberg's website I dont see anything I like there =(

love the (in order of preference):

1. blue halter dress (the colors and cut)
2. black dress (reminds of audrey hepburn dresses)
3. red dress (very chic!)

my sister tried on the yellow betsey johnson dress and it actually looks very cute in person too. pricey though!

the dresses i dislike:

floral and white

the green dress (my favorite color too) is gorgeous, but you're right that it may not look the same on a person with a smaller frame (like me too!). :)

Yeah that Betsey Johnson dress cost alot. She actually has a store in Short Hills, NJ that has the dress I could actually drive there & just try it out.

My instincts tell me I should go for my fave color, always makes me look fresh & happy. lol

the floral and the blue (as you say, blah - I don't think so! it's cute!) are my top picks. depending on the time of the wedding, i'd go for the floral if it is during the day. the blue one, although I don't think it's a blah color would be something for late afternoons towards the evening.
Although i love green, and the dress is nice - the length of the hem may be a bit much. you're petite; the length may be overwhelming for your frame.

Ate Joy, naguguluhan na nga ako eh (I'm so confused) I dont know which ones to pick. The wedding is like a month away so I was hoping I'd make a decision by then.

The wedding is in the aftrenoon around 3pm and then reception will be right after. They told me its swletering hot in Texas right now so I picked the short cocktail dresses.

But, I'm really narrowing is down to... blue baby tube dress, red, floral, green & yellow.
