well, been real sick.  my usual temp is below normal, about 98.2 degrees, and wednesday through saturday morning i had a 102 degree fever with a terrible barking cough.  felt pretty bad to say the least.  had to take unpaid time off, not move, moan, sweat, and shiver.  all i wanted was tomato soup and half water and half grape juice with ice.

Sorry you can't enjoy California & I hope you get to feeling better soon. Though I have to give you props for realizing that the world isn't ending. Sometimes it's awfully easy to think the world is sick instead of you (though your calloused cat-hating superior does sound pretty sick)

The only thing worse than watching intervention before going to sleep is watching it first thing in the morning :).
