Cam's thoughts come to a sudden stop when his glass moves itself off the counter to smash against the tile floor. It's weird but he doesn't think anything of it because he probably left it on an uneven surface too close to the edge. It wouldn't be the first time.
Some weeks later the small bookshelf in the spare bedroom tips over and causes a mini disaster. Cam had been meaning to replace the thing for ages. He piles the books neatly on the bed then carries the warped shelves and broken frame to his car. He forgets to buy a replacement shelf because of the mission that strands his team on a flooding planet for a week.
Daniel expresses his concern that something isn't right when, on a Team Night (minus Sam because she's on the Hammond) the power to the entire house shorts. Cam refuses to listen to anything other than the assumption that it was a power surge.
"Cameron," Sam tries when the Hammond sets down for repairs.
"No," Cam protests. "There is nothing alien going on."
"At least consider it."
"Consider it?" Cam asks, voice bordering on hysterical. "My house is not haunted, Sam."
Sam levels upon him one of her stares, the kind that says she's just about had enough of this bullshit. "We don't think your house is haunted Cam. We think you are."
Behind Sam there's a shimmer, a faint outline growing stronger of a man with spiky hair and loving eyes wearing clearly visible dogtags with an added platinum band that matched the one on Cam's own dogtags. Cameron crumples.
