Just saw The Last Samuri. God. Move Dances with Wolves to Japan, add some Braveheart and a little bit of Witness. bleaaach. Was one of those movies like Seven Years in Tibet (a much better movie for many many reasons) that made me hate humanity. What a petty, arrogant, selfish people we are. I actually really, really liked the movie and thought that Tom Cruise was quite good in it. I'm not usually a fan, but I thought he captured the roll very well.

I want to say that the character's name was Katsumura... *goes to IMDB* Close, but no. Katsumoto. Ken Watanabe is the actor. He was very, very good in the roll. And the person who played his son was fucking HOT. I'd like boys if he happened to be the boy. (:
