It's all knit as one piece. Started with one stitch, then increased on both sides to make the first triangle, then lots and lots of shortrows (knitting only part of the row) and more increasing...

all i ever make is scarves. but i do crochet - for days.
was this a single thing of multicolored yarn? or did you make it so colorful yourself?? it's nice mar! now you should make tassles!!

Scarves are nice to make because they're not too huge!

The yarn came all colorful :) The yarn is called Noro Kureyon if you're interested... it's 100% wool and like $8/ball (took 2 to make the scarf) but soooo worth it. It's so gorgeous and I couldn't stop talking about it.
