Welcome back! Glad to hear everything is going so well for you. It's stressful now, but the payoff is going to be incredible. :-)

Congratulations on the living situation and the kitty. My Stephen is bringing my cat up to CT for me so I can finally be with her again. (She's been living with him for nearly two years.)

And, yes, definitely switch over to friends-only. Safer that way.
