Phoenix is the hottest place I have ever been (and I live in Houston, Texas- home of the wet heat- or whatever...) I heard on the radio the other day that Phoenix was named the #1 sweatiest city (did you really want to know that??) Hope it gets better for you!!
I believe that! Actually, so far I really like it here. Today is my first day on my own with Maya, as DH left town for a job interview...I know, we just moved here for a job, but it's only a 1 year position. He is interviewing for a position that will start this time next year. So I think that I am going to hit Ikea...that will be my reward for making the move. It's my Disneyland!
Welcome! Isn't the heat great! NOT! Take Maya to Paradise Valley Mall. They have an indoor play area right by Old Navy and JC Penney's. Try to go during the week, its much better. Its on Cactus (one mile North of Shea) and around Tatum (a few miles West of Scottsdale Road). They have covered parking by Macy's. They also have an indoor merry go round by the food court. You could also buy her a little play pool and play outside in that, just do so in the shade! 20 minutes in the sun can give you a bad burn. Some of the Library's around here have puppet shows and story time. Basically from June-September we spend a lot of time indoors...The other 8 months of nice weather will make up for it!
8 months of nice weather is SOOO much better than the 8 months of terrible weather in Cleveland. I think that's pretty close to our house (still getting my bearings). We're at Union Hills and Tatum. I'll have to check that out next week. Thanks for the info!
