So well done. I love how you associated meanings with each colour and made grey, usually the most drab and meaningless one, have the greatest meaning for him. The images you chose are great too, like "The shimmer of the fog, the sizzle in the air", and representing Mary with ginger and cinnamon and chestnut. And a sweet story as well. :)
