Emetophobia survivor, struggling with wisdom teeth removal

Hey everyone!

I am emetophobia survivor. Took me many years but I consider myself to be a success story, at least for the most part. I know I'm human and relapse every now and then but I feel like I'm 90% better than where I started.

I have general anxiety disorder which stemmed from my emetophobia, especially from my childhood,

I think these are concerns you should bring up with your surgeon (like the anesthetic part especially). Tell him/her you get n* easily and ask if they can give you an anti-emetic. That should sooth your nerves at least!

I haven't had my wisdom teeth removed so I don't have first-hand experience, but my brother has had that procedure AND jaw surgery done. He usually v*s very easily, but was fine for both. Actually, I haven't heard of anyone I know v*ing. I think it's most often from swallowing too much blood? Try to avoid that!

I had my wisdom teeth removed a few years ago and had no issues. I didn't feel n* at all during the entire process. I also woke up in the middle of the procedure too, but didn't gag or get n* or anything. I get very anxious as well but didn't experience any of that once they sedated me, even when I woke up during the procedure, so hopefully it'll be that way for you too! :)
