Wow, you guys, what a blast!

New prompts and claims are closed at the webpage, but I am leaving uploading and comments up for the next 24 hours (look, there's a countdown!). That will give you time to scan your work and comment on other folks' pieces - look at all the amazing art we made, you guys!! Please upload only work that you completed ( Read more... )

hehe I loved the site, it was very comprehensive and helpful. The idea of posting the prices for donation to the site was brilliant. :)

The one thing I had issue with was the thumbnail image? I got the image but not the "link code" for it. *blinks*

Ah! The ellenmilliongraphics.com site doesn't allow hotlinking. hotlink.ellenmilliongraphics.com does - I hosted the last fest there because I knew we'd want to show the thumbnails here in livejournal land. I will have to give some thought about allowing further hotlinking - or maybe making a second upload at the hotlink site for folks who want to post them here and elsewhere, too. *thinksthinksthinks*

Maybe making smaller thumbnails? They are very big right now.

Is there a way to have a thumbnail generated, then sent to the hotlink side of things after the initial upload?

Then add the "copy n paste" code so folks can do that as they post it various places?

Yaaaay for the awesome Sketchfest site! :D

*whew* It took me 45 minutes to process my last four sketches, and post the last six! Things were really getting sketchy in the last hour there!
I had a scare when it was saying page unavailable when I was trying to load one of the sketches after 4(I am guessing you'd switched it to closed). There were no bugs or glitches that I had run into other than that. :)

Things I loved, the countdown! The ability to have the sketches showing or not(for page loading purposes), the sorting ability ( I used that a lot when I knew the name of the person, but not where it was in the list). Things I wished for: a link to the wall of sketches at the top of the prompts page. *thinking* Oh, and a larger comment box area, for prompts and comments. Um...

Oops, I forgot to load one sketch.

For some reason I thought that the price we'd put into the donation area would show up on the page with the art. Ummm...*scratches head* Where does the amount show up? *is confused* Do I need to revamp my postings to say how much they are?

It would be helpful, when going back to post your sketch, to be able to sort prompts alphabetically.

Other wish-list things: Being able to list you made, being able to list drawings by you (or by another particular artist), and getting an e-mail when your art is commented on.

For the first bare-bones run of an unfinished page, however, I'd say it worked great!

It would have been cool to have a 'show all' option, where instead of manually expanding the 'see existing claims' and 'view finished sketches' menus, there was a button you could clik that automatically opened all of them. Just a thought ...

Agreed! I'd like to see artist pages, too - that showed all of their pieces from each fest, with a bio and links!

The site worked awesomely! Having given it a good run this month, here are my ideas!
First function preference- email notification, of course! Particularly on claims on our own prompts and comments on our own pictures... or maybe anything we've commented/claimed on?
A sort finished artworks by artist/name would be nice.
And maybe a "show claimed prompts" option- to re-find things you claimed for image uploading.

The "See all sketches for this month" link could also be up the top too, cos I found I was going there as often as possible to see the collection building!

Awesome again!!

Email notification would have been VERY nice. Sorting by artists, too, and a way to find the prompts you've claimed! Heh!

I was wishing for the wall link at the top in several places! (That, at least, is a very easy fix. :P)

Oh yes, sorting please, maybe a button to click "my claims" any "my prompts" thought that might require a sign in? Or just have it sort by where your name appears.

And e-mail thingers... :)

And thank you for fixing my mess,who knew $ signs would be so evil! I'd add "Ability to fix our own muddly messes." :)
