I voted for EMG artist login, because that's what would be easiest for ME. However, I was thinking about it a bit and I realize it might not be the best idea for general participation. Even if you gave the option to not login (and loose a few perks that way) it might make people feel like they're not really on equal footing with everyone else.
Is it possible to allow people to use a choice of logins? I know some sites do it, but I'm not sure how complex it'd be to actually implement. Then you can give some choices (OpenID, Sketchfest-only, EMG-account, and no-login, or something) and let people decide what works best for them.
I'll admit that, in this case, I'd prefer to use a login I already have. However, if I were new to the group/idea, I'd probably want to have a separate login.
Ellen, how about a sketch counter, so you don't have to do that manually? Unless you already have an easy way to count them. :) --- It looks like we have a couple ties!
Could you do a "Sketch Fest" login where people could simply check a ticky box to say whether they were logging in using the artist database, the customer database, or the sketch fest database?
Then, in later months, you could add a ticky box for open ID, once you got the coding done for it.
On limits to prompts -- you could publish a guideline, and set a limit at two or three times that limit. So, if you published a guideline ("unless there's very few prompters, please limit yourself to no more than a dozen prompts" and quietly put in a limit of 25, that would prevent the theoretical obnoxious jerk who wants to spam us and crash the system by entering hundreds of prompts from doing so while remaining invisible to even those who feel a need to push the rules a bit.
