I didn't feel much like drawing today, but it was great fun watching the Wall grow.

The artist pages are a great addition. I did find it somewhat hard to find a particular artist's page when I only had their name, and they hadn't left a prompt - that might solve itself if you're still going to add the "sort wall by artist" option next month. At least I'm currently imagining that with the artists' name as headlines over the block of their sketches. ;)

Some minor fixes I'd like to make:

Add a check for filenames, so we don't get over-writes.
(This will require some other method for attaching a picture to multiple prompts!)
Better browsing options at the top of each page.
view random

Some major ideas:

Adding a writing and/or photography option! It wouldn't be 'sketch' fest, but the same rules would apply. Work to the prompt, no more than an hour spent on it. They would be in separate sections.

I definitely want to improve the artist pages. (Which will also show your current claims!)

Just random ideas!

Better navigation is always good. ;)

I thought of another thing: It would be nice if there was an "official" place to post links to Sketchfest related art, like "It's based on a prompt, but done after the Sketch Fest" or "I went and finished a sketch, and this is what it looks now". I was thinking of something like an entry in the LJ to comment on, or a thread in the EMG forum.

I could use that, right now I am going to finish what I have before the end of comment time so that I can post a link to the finished stuff. Maybe it could be the ability to log in and post that link in the artist's description area?

I was rereading the info on the Sketchfest front page, registered commenting is still allowed after the open comment period, so I can leave links.Yay! :) I still want to get them all done today though!

Another successful event Ellen - Thank you! The e-mail notifications worked well once I remembered to check my SPAM folder and create a filter for them ( ... )

That was me! I used a photo prompt. :) Very, very fast at the last minute, and your poor, cute kitty, I do not do it justice... I loved the nibbling on the leaf pose, adorable! :) I wish there was a way to put a photo prompt on the page so I could see it right away, though that might make the loading slower. (Oops, I need to go read the permission info, I was in such a rush!)

Thank's Jenny! Your sketch is cute! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished piece. I'm glad one of my prompts got used. I have so many photos of my cat, that I do try to include one prompt of him each time.

Am well and truly addicted to SketchFest, and looking forward to the next one already. The log-in worked really well, I liked that. I also love the fact that I end up with one sketch/idea I want to paint during every SketchFest, it really broadens my ideas. And coming back the next morning (Aus time) to see what has been added to the wall while I have been dreaming :D

Hmmm... suggestions... maybe some way to group prompts by theme ie dragons, faeries, love, nature, other... I sometimes find myself lost trying to scroll down and find a prompt, but if there was a list of themes at the top I could click on that to find it.

SketchFest Rulz!!!!

I like the SOLD on there, so I know I didn't forget to put in a donation price after all. :) Ummm...*brain is mush*

Oh, maybe a forward and back button, like on DA or Elfwood where you can just click to each picture while viewing the other picture instead of going back to the thumbnail page. if that makes sense.

Loved the artist's pages! Made it easier to comment on/view the pictures without getting lost on the page.

Yes, I agree that a forward and back button, both on the wall and the artist page sketches would be helpful when just looking through the sketches.
