September Sketch Fest Wrap-up

Wheee! I was miserably ill through our September Sketch Fest, but still had a blast watching you guys create. We got 188 sketches (down 5 from August) and had 50 (!!!) participating artists (up 11 from August). I have created some counting tools at the site that show who participated each round (with links to your pages!) and how many sketches were

Really liked the new header/navigation this round. The counting tool working as a sort of member list when I know someone's name and would like to see their images is neat, too.

Also, yay for the links to the prompts! Having the text made finding them to submit a sketch easier already, but this is even better.
...I wonder if we could get a link from the prompt displayed on an image page to the specific prompt, to see what other people drew for it, too.

A probably more minor suggestion: I think it would be nice if the sort order of images was consistent. I find it rather confusing that on the Wall and the Artist pages they are sorted so the newest is at the left, but on the Prompts page and the "Next/Previous" links the newest is on the right.

Even more minor things:
On the artist page, if a prompt has " in it, there'll be a \ before it.
The bottom of the Overview page still mentions prompted as chatroom.

I'm so happy more artists joined !! I saw a lot friends from DA too and i know more may be joining next time :)
this time i was surprised i did more ketches (8) than the last time sketch fest (6) it doesn't matter to me how many sketches i enjoy the experience and love seeing how fellow artists illustrate different prompts :)
I was thinking maybe we can have an ALL out Halloween sketch fest?? for the next sketch fest since it 's October and all :)

I hope you are feeling better Ellen! All I can say is that I had a blast! I can't wait for October. It was so motivating & inspiring, I just loved it. I really need practice on my quick sketching skills & I noticed a difference just with 3 sketches. thanks for always being so supportive of the arts & artists! *hugs*

Thanks Ellen, I absolutely LOVE Sketchfest, I'm totally addicted to it.. the job you've done in getting everything working is commendable, and fantastic thankyou so much. You're a blessing, and it sucks you were so ill... I really hope you are feeling better soon.

I am LOVING these sketchfests SO much, Ellen! Thankyou for organising them!

It was my eldest's 21st bithday this month, and next month it will be his Party! But, because of the timing for us in Australia and depending on my enthusiasm after his Party, I am hoping to get at least one sketch done! It has become like my favourite ME time once a month! :)
