college is fine.  people are a bit less social and outreaching than I had been led to expect, but maybe we're simply in an initial stage of awkwardness so we'll see how it progresses from here.  but that's not why I'm ranting

That's because you don't go to a southern school. I'm not even kidding. People here are uber-friendly...for the most part. It's like a familial atmosphere almost. Actually, it's like the Burroughs bubble, college style. Still. People are nice, and homework is plentiful. -_-

yeah that's true about people being friendly. people here are super friendly...although it's hard to actually make friends with them. at least for the moment though, the homework is not so plentiful...although i think that was a lot of scheduling luck--just in terms of when i have which classes.
