omg Luna.  Luna Luna Luna Luna Luna.  I loved the book Luna, and I was so so worried that they were going to ruin her character but no, she was amazing, quite possibly the best character in all of the HP movies as of yet.  she was adorable and waiflike and just strange enough to make you sit up and pay attention but not offputting at all.  and oh, ( Read more... )

I totally remember the fourth movie, which you didn't even watch in theatres, I don't think, and just sat around kicking your feet about even though I TOLD you to go watch it. Just saying. And I like how the death eaters were these black ghosts sweeping around, and the order were these white, and they embodied magic or something, but it looked cool. Except. I mentioned that to somebody else who had watched the movie, and she had NO idea what I was talking about.

In conclusion, the book is much better than the movie. All the books will always be better than the movies. I agree with you about Luna, though, and Neville. The awkward/outcast-type characters always fascinate me the most. I'm glad they at least managed to not screw them up. Also, Umbridge *was* so terrifying and made me sooo angry. And yeah, the Harry and Cho kiss was giggle-inspiring. Though, I giggled at pretty much every kiss scene. Cuz I'm mature like that. Yeah. Also, Michael Gambon as Dumbledore is growing on me. I still miss Richard Harris, but seeing as he's, well, not with us anymore, I'll settly for Gambon, I s'pose.

Basically, there were good parts of the movie, and really bad parts. I didn't think it was worth paying to see it again in theaters. Though I'm sure I'll end up buying it when it comes out on dvd. And by me buying it I really mean my father.
