INTRO POST :) !
hahah. basically an introduction post of myself and this journal for anyone who's bothered to read XD.
my name's emi and this is my writing journal, hence the username.
i'm twenty this year and an utter fangirl of like, most boybands in J/K pop.
HOW IT ALL STARTED(OR, HOW DID THE MADNESS SPREAD):
I'm actually still relatively new to boyband fandoms really, i've always followed taiwan pop for most of my teenage years(F4(cringe.), 5566, SHE, Jay Chou, Fahrenheit), but never really madly so; i never really declared love for anything. until i fell for JE.
i entered in feb 2009 as a KAT-TUN fan, thanks to a friend who made me watch CTKT. obviously, as with all JE fangirls, you can't just stop at one pretty group, you'd move to like another and another and another because of the BFFery and intergroup relationships. so i went on to like NewS(most logical progression isn't it) and Hey! Say! JUMP.
I SWORE I WOULDN'T LIKE ARASHI.
BUT I FELL IN LOVE ANYWAY. MADLY AND DEEPLY SO.
so yes, i am mainly an arashi fangirl but i do so love the others too. that includes the sempais because i have friends who follow the older fandoms.
for kpop, it really wasn't my fault. my best friend's sister went insane for SUPER JUNIOR in june 09 and my bestie very loyally followed. i tried to resist but it was futile. after watching tons of videos and shows and whatnot, i was won over by the sheer, ridiculous adorableness of Suju. then, by rules of natural progression, i listened to SNSD and watched a few perfs.
THEN THERE WAS SHINEE.
i absolutely love shinee. seriously :D i feel pedo watching them but i really don't care.
besides them, i also like and follow 2 AM, 2 PM, Big Bang, DBSK, Brown Eyed Girls and MBLAQ.
all these within a span of one year and yes, i know, it is super tiring.
but fulfilling. very very much so.
i think i'm a little old for all this fangirl business but hey, they make me happy and that's all that matters, isn't it.
that's why i don't really enjoy fandom wank, like the whole jpop vs kpop business( i have equal love for both and i really don't give a rat's ass why somebody from xx fandom doesn't like xx fandom) and fandom angst( too much in both i tell you) and intergroup hate.
probably that's why i write fanfiction too. i always have, mainly for the anime fandoms ever since i was a geeky preteen, cos i didn't like the pairings and/or ending/storyline. but somehow i didn't expect to write real person fanfiction until now. it's fun though; that's why i do it. basically, my fics amuse myself and i'm hoping it amuses other people as well. i don't have very high expectations for them; i don't expect them to have a gazillion comments and stuff. but as long as one other person enjoys it, it's made it worthwhile.
