Wow, that is one TOTALLY AWESOME topic, and so true when I think about it. It's in SWEENEY where it turns to revenge, PASSION where it turns to obsession, INTO THE WOODS where it turns out to be not as you'd imagined, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC where it's not such a glamorous life...did you come up with this? What are you using to support it? I wanna read it!

It's a topic that my prof. conjured up, and I'm writing about Follies, Pacific Overtures, and Assasins (the shows were in the promt too). But yeah, it is true for almost all Sondheim shows. Maybe not A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum... :) I'll tell you more about it when I know (aka, when I finish the paper).
