It goes without saying I know but I'll put the 'you suck' here anyway ^_~

I'll try not to worry over a single use item but I'm dreading going to look for a skirt already.

Technically speaking, Josh's science is correct, but that's only if we assume that the soul A) has mass at all and B) is hampered by the same laws of physics to which we so greedily adhere.

It IS scientifically possible to move at speeds in excess of the speed of light, but it involves essentially changing what's being moved. For example, I recently read an article that said that, according to theoretical physics, one could create a bubble of space/time and then move that bubble faster than the speed of light. Of course, the energy expenditure of such an undertaking would be immense, on the scale of the power output of our entire solar system. However, it is feasible. And if one posits the existence of god, there's no reason that s/he wouldn't have limitless energy at its disposal, capable of transporting each soul across the universe at the appropriate time.

Really, if you're granting the existence of heaven in the first place, you can pretty much just go ahead and throw science out the window.

I wouldn't say that. It's more a matter of perspective. Instead of asking how God works in our understanding of the universe, the question should be how our understanding of the universe works in with God. Whether or not God does exist, I think there's more that we don't know yet about the universe than what we do know.
