For the monitor gone pink I have three possible solutions:
1) See if the cable connected from your monitor to your pc is tightly in place. Actually I'm pretty sure you don't have a flat-screen right? Cause this is typically an old screen problem. ;D One or two of the colours in your screen (red, green or blue) have gone missing and that could be because not all the pins in your plug are making contact. 2) Give it a smack. If it's not the cable, then it's inside the monitor and I know as a professional I'm not supposed to say this, but this solved a lot of my similar problems. 3) You can have one of my old, fully functional 15" screens FOR FREE. You need to come pick it up yourself though. =p
1) I checked all the cables, they're all neatly in their places as they should be. I even demagnetised the monitor and took away all items that could 'magnetise'' it or whatever too. 2) I smacked it a couple of times but that didn't help either. 3) I don't want a 15" screen! I just want this trusty ol' 17" to work:( Thanks for the offer though!
Awww that sucks then. =/ but btw: 1) Make sure you don't just check if they are in place, unplug them and replug them if need be 2) alright ... no need to batter it any further then o.O 3) DAMN! I was so close to getting rid of it. ;D Seriously ... I'm such an environment-friendly person, I don't want to put it with the garbage cause it still works. Even though I have TWO old 15" monitors and use one. And an empty pentium I casing which really serves no purpose any more. Silly or what?
