I ended this chapter the same way Blaine did! Omg omg! I cannot even comment properly. This is just, wow, so much better than ANY vampire story I've ever read (whether it be fan fiction or real). I love Blaine and how he doesn't want to give in to Kurt, but at the same time I love Kurt and his relentless and ruthless approach to get what he wants. Every chapter, every part, leaves me gasping because this is just so brilliant.
Thank you so much! I'm completely delighted that you're enjoying this so far, my love, and that the end of the chapter had all the impact I was hoping it would. Poor Blaine, indeed. :( And oh my goodness! I'm so flattered and honoured that you think this is better than any vampire story you've read, oh my gosh, really? That's so completely lovely of you to say, and it makes me so motivated to get on with chapter four!!
"Ruthless" is such a perfect word to describe Kurt in this, by the way. Oh my goodness, yes. *nodnod*
Thank you so much for your lovely words, and for taking the time to let me know what you think!
So it's after 9 where I live and I have to be up in six hours for work, but I didn't even hesitate to read this.
Amazing. You've got me hook, line and sinker. The way you describe everything, especially Blaine's fear, is just completely spot-on. This is just so completely different from anything I've ever read in this fandom (or any fandom) and I mean that in the best way possible. The whole thing is so original and it's just a complete pleasure to read it. Thank you for writing. <3
Except now I'm going to try and go to sleep in my apartment...alone. Yeah, don't know if that's happening.
Thank you for sacrificing sleep in the name of fiction!! I hope you had an okay day at work the next day! <3
And thank you a million for your incredibly kind words; I'm so pleased that this has managed to pull you in! The psychology of fear and an exploration of fear itself was one of the main things that made me want to write this story in the first place, so I'm really happy that it's coming through loud and clear. It's such a potent, raw emotion to explore; such a treat to write about.
It's so interesting that you find this to be different from anything else you've seen in fandom, and I take that as a huge compliment! To me, I think, I see myself as exploring a lot of older ideas that don't tend to show up in fanfiction very much, but I'm delighted that it's coming through as original. You're very, very welcome; this is a pleasure to write!
It's okay, vampires can't get in without an invitation. You're totally safe, bb!
AHHHH BB I'M SORRY!! *hugs* I don't think Blaine was quite expecting it either, oh my goodness. ;_; Auuughhh, hearts.
Oh, yes!! That's a really good comparison, actually. Now that you mention it, it's making me think of Jenny's death and the way he set it up, euuuugh. THAT'S UPSETTING OH MY GOSH.
