*hums in contentment* This story is just so fantastically awesome. I loved the transition from dream to reality. You even jolted ME out of my hazy complacency of reading hot smut to stutter 'oh fuck!' I do like how you keep mention of the reasons why Blaine doesn't want to be turned into a vampire. Most stories have that romanticised view of being a vampire, you know, immortality, beauty, strength. They fail to keep in mind the loss of humanity, what makes us WHO WE ARE. Poor Blaine. But really there is no hope left for the poor boy. Sometimes I wonder about how this story will end, but I really can't picture it, nor do I know how I WANT it to. So I don't, and just go with the flow.

Getting to write the dream-not-a-dream was a really satisfying and perspective-complex scene to write, and I'm so glad that it came as a surprise. There have been so many slow, thick smutty scenes in this through the dream sequences, and it was so interesting to subvert that trope a bit!

Thank you so much about mentioning the negative aspects of becoming a vampire, too; that is something that I've really tried to maintain throughout the fic, because it definitely seems like an incredibly terrifying prospect to me. It's very interesting to me that so many vampire stories like to focus on the romanticized vampire, actually -- the scary aspects are so much more interesting!!

Sometimes I wonder about how this story will end, but I really can't picture it, nor do I know how I WANT it to. So I don't, and just go with the flow. <-- probably very wise. <3

Second of all, yay! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the chapter, including the little twist about the dream. (Poor Blaine thought it was a dream, too. :( Poor dear.) I don't think that Kurt's reasons are too mysterious, though; after having to wait so long to have Blaine in the first place, Kurt is definitely the sort of person to draw him out and savour him. It's definitely cruel, and so hard on Blaine. :( He would definitely appreciate your hugs!!
