Waiting alone at the border of Beorn’s lands was maddening, and Thorin paced restlessly for almost the entire time. Even though the house and gardens seemed still and quiet, he could not help but fret over the safety of his companions.
I just adore how well you're filling in the gaps in canon, how Thorin's POV is so fleshed-out and true to his movie self, this is all perfectly like him.
When Gandalf had revealed his desire to use Bilbo as a strategically calming presence, Thorin had very nearly demanded for Gandalf to swear he would not allow Bilbo to come to any harm before Thorin would allow him out of his sight.
GUH. Oh, Thorin struggling with his feelings is so painful and yet so lovely.
As much as it pained Thorin to admit it, Beorn was so shockingly large that it was almost impossible not to feel like a child next to him.YES. I can't wait to see this part in the movie--Thorin is so resolutely unimpressed by tall people, but Beorn has got to be a whole new ( ... )
