Okay, best interview story ever. I was doing an interview at Case and I was like, freaking out beforehand. And then like two minutes in I made some comment and the guy was like "Oh, you like to read?" and I was like "I love to read" and he was all "What do you like?" and so I sort of listed off all the things I'd read recently and enjoyed. And then he was like "Do you read Harry Potter?" and I was like "YES." And then we spent like the rest of the interview talking about the books and how we felt about the movies and what we thought would happen in OotP (since it was like 2003...hello old). But so the point of this is that he was eventually like "Well I guess you can go?" and I was like "er... sorry that went all tangent-like. Do you want to ask anything else?" and he told me "No, my job is just to get a feel for what you're like, and you made that really easy

Best overnight story ever, it pretty much goes like this.
Me: OMG, I'M DOING AN OVERNIGHT TOMORROW. I'M GOING TO DIE. MY HOST IS GOING TO HATE ME AND LIKE, LEAVE ME IN A DUMPSTER SO SHE CAN GO CHILL WITH HER FRIENDS. AHH. AHH. AHH. Sara: GET A GRIP, LOSER. Me: NO.
(Justine goes to K, hangs out with host, stops by library with host, Justine emails Sara)
Me: MY HOST IS KICKASS. Sara: I TOLD YOU. Me: NO.
(Justine ends up living with host)

Therefore, just be breezy. I don't know, actually. Just be friendly, try and make friends with your host so it doesn't get awkward... look for things you have in common (Sally and I initially bonded on how we weren't allowed to watch Dawson's Creek but snuck it anyway while our moms weren't looking; oh and I helped her in her Spanish lab).
