If you leave hair removal lotion on too long, it will make you bleed.  That's fun.

Yep; some things you have to learn the hard way.

I was thinking of trying hair removal lotion on my legs, but now you've scared me!

I was a soap 'n' water kind of gal until fairly recently. I use Avon's "Skin So Soft" Silky Stay Shave Gel. It's six shades of awesome. It stays on my leg until I shave it off and get a really close shave -- even with a cheapo razor. And it moisturizes! My legs are so smooth now.

I mean, I'm sure I'm just an idiot and have been going about it the wrong way. It does keep my legs smooth, and free me from that nasty stubble-just-below-the-surface look. But it smells like ass and has had bad experiences with my skin.

Hmm, I'll keep that in mind. Is it expensive? Another tip: my best friend uses hair conditioner instead of shave gel or soap. It works a charm; keeps your legs satiny smooth and gives a fabulously close shave. And you don't have to buy special stuff for shaving, besides the razor!

The Avon stuff is currently on sale: 2 tubes (6.7 fl. oz. each) for $7.99 (reg. $5.00/each). (If the link doesn't work, search for product #468-361.)

My mom was an Avon rep and she used the Skin So Smooth line as far back as I can remember. She had lovely, healthy skin. People never believed her when she told them her age because she looked 10 years younger.

Speaking of age-defying cosmetics...I can personally vouch for Avon's new Anew Clinical Eye Lift (product #612-473). I bought it on sale for $18.00 and I've been using it twice a day for a week. I'll be damned if I don't look three years younger! (That's one year younger than this icon, btw.)

Do I love Avon? Oh you betcha!

Urm. I meant Skin So Soft.

I've got smooth legs on the brain and got the name wrong. Heh, heh. ;-)
