I came across the website for Tumbleweed Tiny House Company, as featured on the episode of Small Space, Big Style Molly, Mom and I watched that one time. They're impressively compact, yet they seem like they shouldn't cost that much ($400/sq foot?).
...They're like the tepee hovels on Wright St. or Lakewood Ln., only not at all like the tepees.
I think it is great how the website only has pictures of the houses in serene, wilderness locales. I wonder how they would look in an urban slum, or with pole barns and dilapidated warehouses in the background?
I used to live in the A-frames. That's what you're talking about, right (on Wright Street... technically Sugarloaf)? They're kind of like that, but I think the A-Frames are bigger and also darker and more depressing. I think it's the interiors that really "make" the Tumbleweed houses, though having lots of windows and parking them in a scenic mountain valley helps, too.
I would rather make my own house, but I do see that guy is an inspiration and maybe a kindred spirit. There was a lot more information on the show than what's on that website.
