I'm wary about all-glass walls. They just seem like they'd be inefficient unless you lived somewhere warm and/or sunny. They definitley don't seem like they'd be good for U.P. living. They look pretty nice though. Maybe nicer than those other little prefab houses you linked to a while ago. Those seemed rediculously expensive for what they were though. Where would you thow one up anyway? Stalwart?
I just noticed that I messed up those links and put two of the same thing.
On the unit one cabins: I don't think I would live in one, but in theory it would be nice to buy some land around here that I'd want to someday build a real house on, and put something like that up in the meantime. It looks like it would be pretty nice in the summer, and I wouldn't be heating it up all that often in the winter, anyway.
All-glass walls seem excessive, but I don't think passive solar is out of the question here. This is one of the least best places in the country for it, but the feeling of the space is important, too, so for me it adds up.
