Well, when I posted that, I really wanted to know how exactly a person qualifies as a dependent. Like, how much of my living expenses would my parent's have had to paid on my behalf in order for them to still claim me as a dependent. And, would tuition count? How about money they loaned me, that I'm expected to pay back?
But it's not really crucial I know that anymore, though I'm still curious..
Basically now, though, I'm wondering, is there an easy way to learn tax law? I feel so in-the-dark about taxes, and since I pay them every week, I'd like to understand them a bit more. It'd be great if you could reccomend any way of learning.

You're in college and not independent financially, so that one is a 'yes'
The IRS site has publications that explain some things -- badly.
The instructions on the forms give some hints too. They're terrifyingly incomplete though.
Tax law is extremely frustrating. Poking through the docs on the IRS site has been the best I've found, but it's ugly at best.
