Hurray! I am totally in agreement with your philosophy behind stopping NaNo. Actually it's kind of the basic principle I live my life by--if something that is supposed to be fun and life-enriching instead turns out to feel chore-ish and draining, it is no longer worth doing. So um... I was going somewhere with this, I think, but I've forgotten. Anyway, good for you making a decision that feels right!
Thanks for the support! And, I love that life-principle (forgive the word choice, I'm pretty tired). I want to start applying it even more to my own life, it makes a lot of sense :)
I've been agonizing over the same thing for the last day or two and this made me feel like maybe it would actually be okay if I didn't kill myself trying to finish.
:( It should have snowed at Reed, that's sad it didn't.
I only saw the snow in East Vancouver, and not for very long. I just happened to have to connect buses during the time it was snowing, and walk from the bus stop to my apartment. I'm just hoping that it will snow again (and stick next time!)
And thanks :)
Oh and btw, will you be around at all when your school goes on vacation? We still need to hang out, it seems like I'll have Sunday-Wednesday free most weeks in December..
No, once the break starts, I'm outta here and going back home, as weird as that sentence sounds. Sunday-Wednesday, though... I have open time on Monday the 3rd after 2 PM (nothing major is due for Tuesday), Sunday the 9th, or potentially Monday the 10th if it's in the morning and/or early afternoon, though I'd rather not this day in general as finals start on the 11th. Anything sound workable?
Hmm, I'm actually not in town right now, so the days that possibly sound workable are the 9th (if it's in the afternoon), or the 10th maybe... but yeah, I totally understand about finals.
Or we could just plan something for when you get back in town. There has to be some day we can figure out that'd work...
