So...I've been hired to do a kids' adaptation of The Three Musketeers and I'm really wishing I'd actually re-read the book before agreeing to it

i KNOW i read a kid's version of this in junior school. all i can remember is the intrigue over some diamond earrings (or brooch or whatevah) that had to be returned just in time to prove that a lady was not being bad. even tho she was. i rly didn't understand it.

Mmm - the reason she hasn't got the diamonds is because she's given them to her lover the Duke of Buckingham. Here's hoping none of the children reading my book understand it either...
