I actually thought it was the best pilot I've seen so far this year. I thought it was pretty good, with potential, even though the main character guy annoys me.

Maybe if it HADN'T been so huge and expensive of a show it wouldn't have bothered me so much given the things it had going for it, but they spent so much money on the show, there should have been NO problems with it, at least IMO. And for me characters are everything, so if I don't like the characters, I just can't like a series. And I just really hate bland "family" characters being the center of a story, especially when they're also pretty dumb. And I thought these ones were just... completely uninteresting, like they had no personality traits other than being part of their sappy family unit. And even that felt forced and the DRAMAZ (like the kid getting mad at the dad for no reason, and everyone getting mad at the dad for having a third kid and not, ya know, the MOTHER, who gave birth to her)... I thought it was just inconsistent, unnecessary, and annoying.
