Um. Somehow, I don't know how, but I managed to completely miss them. Possibly something to do with us, well me, being crap and ensuring we didn't get there until kick off, and so spent the resulting time vainly searching the crowds for a friend of mine. I really do feel quite annoyed at myself, I hear they were something spectacular.

"Rumpus" is indeed a mighty spiffy turn of phrase. "Ruckus", however, still owns.

I am hoping to attend a rather more potentially hazardous event this Saturday, however, but that’s all dependent on my finding the money for the train fare to Oxford.

If you do make it to Oxford, and if the hazardous event in question happens to be the animal rights protest thing, then please don't harm the geeky-but-innocent folk merely attending the Sunday Times Literary Festival in the city that day who have nothing to do with the university! *cowers*

Of course I won't! *pouts in indignation* Really, I joke about being some sort of madcap rioter purely because the image so amuses sensitive, couldn't blow fluff off a milkshake li'l me. I promise you, if extremist wankers start any trouble, it'll be nothing to do with me, who is hoping to attend merely in the hope I'll be able to make my point by having a dance or donning a silly outfit instead.

I am rather jealous of you attending the festival however, it sounds dreamy. I need to sort myself out and get to more little events like that.
