I so wish I could have come to Wales, but there was no way. Still, there'll be other opportunities. I do really need to go for a country walk soon though, it always makes me so happy and I miss it a lot, I mean it's about 50% of the reason why I like Manchester and I have only been on one walk this term! Ah well...When funds are more settled, eh.
By the way, I think you will be fine on 8 months experience. You are obviously a good and competent worker and that's what they need, along with someone who is enthuiastic about what they are doing, which you obviously are. I know how you feel though, up here all the animal care positions need a bit of experience (which in fairness, I have a little of)not to mention a driving liscense. Hence part of the idea to move back South next year (I thought I had mentioned that to you?)

It's common knowledge that the music of 2006 has been, on the whole, shocking. So much so that it has driven individuals such as my friend Kate to declare that "modern emo is better than modern indie". And scarier still, driven me to almost agree.
