Miss Kay's post has just reminded me. I still don't have my Postman Pat advent calendar! Not that I ever had one in the first place, you understand. Usually I will settle for any old thing that Tesco's has left, but this year I appear to be in one of those difficult moods where only something from my childhood will do, not anyone else's ( Read more... )

Hehe, let's go shopping for delightful pictured advent calenders!

I so wish I could have come to Wales, but there was no way. Still, there'll be other opportunities. I do really need to go for a country walk soon though, it always makes me so happy and I miss it a lot, I mean it's about 50% of the reason why I like Manchester and I have only been on one walk this term! Ah well...When funds are more settled, eh.

By the way, I think you will be fine on 8 months experience. You are obviously a good and competent worker and that's what they need, along with someone who is enthuiastic about what they are doing, which you obviously are. I know how you feel though, up here all the animal care positions need a bit of experience (which in fairness, I have a little of)not to mention a driving liscense. Hence part of the idea to move back South next year (I thought I had mentioned that to you?)

Anyway hun...look forward to actually coinciding with you sometime soon, long enough for a cup of tea and a nice sit down chat! Love to you. :*) xx

I love the way you still refer to the bits between main holidays as 'terms', despite the fact that uni is but a distant memory for us both. You little cutie, you ( ... )

'85 must have been a fairly awesome year then, considering that that's when I was born.
I think I have a Malteasers advent calendar waiting for me. Sheer joy!

Doh, I clearly hadn't thought that one through. Ack, my birth year may well have been fairly rubbish, but I care not, for oddly enough I remember very little of that period...

FOR THE WIN! :D

People conceived during odd numbered years, however, are even better. Ooh, get me using logic!

It's common knowledge that the music of 2006 has been, on the whole, shocking. So much so that it has driven individuals such as my friend Kate to declare that "modern emo is better than modern indie". And scarier still, driven me to almost agree.

I adore hearing about what everyone else has. It turns me into quite the anti Scrooge.

Ooh, nifty idea. Glad you consider me suitably interesting to be worthy of the experiment, at any rate! ;)
