i have been thinking, and talking to my friends, and i have decided that we need to form a knitting circle in leeds. this would involve meeting once a month at my house to knit and and drink tea and eat cake and chat. and i know its sounding a bit like organsied fun, which i normally steer clear of, but it would be ace

I think there is something similar already going on it leeds. will ask my friend about it and get back to you. I think they were the people who did a synchronised dance to the yeah yeah yeahs at this art thingy I went to at the brudenell a while back. though I get the impression they did the knitting thing as more of an art statement than just enjoying knitting, which is a bit lame really.

Hi, all! I'm an exchange student at UofLeeds looking for a knitting group to join. I tried to go on the Meet-up thing but it said the website was down. Do you guys know of any out there, or is yours open to strange people from cold foreign lands? : )

yes, i would love for you to join our knitting group! we meet every third wednesday of the month in the upstairs cafe part of borders, in leeds, at 7pm. so the next one is on wednesday 20th october. i dont think anything is wrong with the meet-up site, so it might have just been that one time you tried it, so it might be worth trying it again. but it will basically tell you the same information i told you, as i am the organiser.
