since you put it that way, yeah. that is weird. but we're having a bunch of christmas eve services.
maybe it's because they know not a lot of people will show up due to the fact that it's so... mainstreamed. that's not the word i want. i don't know what word i want.
You know I wondered the same thing. Then some of the people at my church told me that they are having church service on Saturday night anyway (to reach the people that don't go to church that often or something) and most people are going on that night (Christmas Eve). They also said that Christ may not have been born on the 25th anyway. (Weird?, I thought so too.)
yeh.. lol my church is doing aa service on Christmas Eve and that morning. but I think all of the youth are going to come in our xmas pajamas on sunday.
and Christ wasn't born on dec 25 he was born in april or may or sometime around then. the reason we celebrate on the 25th is b/c Constantine changed it to then (dec 25 is his birthday). (random fact I learned in French class)
Holy crap that was right! (Constantine) I just couldn't remember what person they were talking about. Talk about a knowledgable person... you are EM-azing.
