GUESS WHO'S BACK ON LIVEJOURNAL? You more or less have the GUDU community to thank/condemn for that, so there you go.

For a while there I didn't think I would ever make a LiveJournal post again, but I have spent some time today catching up on everyone's entries that I have missed (in addition to not posting for years and years, for the past nine months or so I have neglected to even bother reading my friends page), and this is when I realized how much I miss ElJay. This was not my first blogging site but has always been my favorite. I want to post things here again because just writing down a little bit of something about life makes me feel good. I will always have my personal leather-bound lovely handwritten journals (I was given two new ones yesterday for Giftmas!), but there is something very enticing about putting out a journal of sorts on the Internet that other people will read. I don't get nearly the satisfaction from posting one- or two-sentence statuses about my day onto Facebook. Call me a whore for attention.

There isn't much I care to talk about now, other than that I had a nice holiday with my family and how the boyfriend is out of town until Friday. I am going to enjoy the mellow mornings of this coming week, with the video games and the writing and other such usage of newly acquired Christmas items, but I sure am going to miss my cuddle-buddy. He gave me a snuggie as a surprise gift and all I want to do is relax next to him on the couch while wearing it. And maybe play the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World arcade game he found. Because man, I really enjoy that game. You get to pick up one bad guy and use him to beat the other bad guys to death. There are also rocks and bats and traffic cones for the same purpose. Wholesome entertainment.

Other things you may (not) be interested to know about since I last posted:
  • I have dreadlocks now, and this will probably turn out to be a subject that I post about a lot. They are about three-point-five months old and coming along as well as can be expected with how super straight my brushable hair was. I kind of sort of love them more than anything.
  • I have a few more piercings now, and plans for a decent number more. My two newest would be my single navel piercing from October of '09 (vertical, on the top), and my anti-eyebrow surface bar (done in October of this year, I believe). I absolutely adore both but I am particularly proud of my first ever surface piercing. Pictures definitely to come.
  • I am going to be starting legitimate university in January, which means I am finally finally passing the community college phase. I guess I have an associate's degree now?
  • I procured for myself a very decent camera last winter or spring, so I take a lot of pictures. There should be one at least for every post. Yay photoblogs.

Anyway. Happy winter season, everyone. I missed this.
