"Two iced cappuccino and two strawberry short cake please."
"So, where are we going to go next?" Yuri asked, sipping her drink.
"I still want to go to the roller coaster." Daiki replied, taking a bite on his strawberry short cake.
"Why would you want to go there? Aren't you scared?" Yuri, looking pale, tries to convince Daiki not to go to the roller coaster.
"Well, I am .. But I still want to try it." Daiki said, sipping his drink.
"Oh~ okay." Yuri couldn't do anything about it and just let the thing go. "But after that, we'll go to the haunted house." Yuri added. Daiki almost spitted out the iced cappuccino he had inside his mouth but managed to swallow it.
"How about you? Why would you like to go to a haunted house?" Daiki asked, trying to hide his shaky voice.
"I love scary things. I often watch horror movies with my mom." Daiki was surprised with Yuri's answer. He never knew that the girl he loves likes the thing that he hates. Daiki didn't want to make her girlfriend sad and disappointed so he just went on and said "okay" with a smile. In the back of his mind, he still hopes that Yuri would forget about her excitement in going to the haunted house.
After they ate, it was still early to go ride the roller coaster so they decided to play a bunch of games. An hour and a half later, it was time.
"Yuri, let's go to the roller coaster!" Daiki said excitedly. Yuri couldn't do anything. She doesn't want to go ride the roller coaster because she is acrophobic but she gathered all her courage for the sake of Daiki's smile.
"Sure" was the only thing that Yuri could reply, trying to hide her shaky voice.
"Come." Daiki got a hold of her hand and quickly pulled her to the direction of the roller coaster. Daiki's hands was warm, making her feel comfortable and calm.
They say down, took their desired seat. It was half way the 40-seater roller coaster. The hand bars were pulled down, seat belts strapped in, getting ready to get things rolling.
"Are you okay?" Daiki concernedly asked.
"Yeah." Yuri nervously answered.
"All set!" The man who was in charge of the roller coaster said. Hearing those words made Yuri's heart beat faster than usual. Inside she was panicking. Daiki had a glance of her and held Yuri's hand, trying to lessen the nervousness that Yuri feels right now. Yuri felt Daiki's intention, her heart became sound. The ride started, Yuri's heart beat faster once again. The wheels of the cart are sliding through the rails, making loud sounds as they approach the highest peak of the ride.
"You'll be fine." Daiki said before they slid down. Yuri screamed to the top of her voice as they go round and round. Daiki on the other hand was enjoying himself.
3 minutes later, the ride finally ended. Yuri's knees were shaking, Daiki not so much.
"How do you feel?" Daiki asked.
"I feel like vomiting. I'm never gonna go there again."
"You didn't like it?" Daiki asked, slightly making fun of Yuri's weird facial expression as of the moment.
"Of course not. I'm acrophobic. I don't like those things." Yuri bluntly told the truth.
"Oh~ I'm sorry." Daiki had a half smile expression.
"Now that you're favorite ride is over, I want to go to my favorite venue." Yuri with a mischievous tone.
"EH?" Daiki's eyes widened. He knows what Yuri was talking about.
"I want to go to the haunted house!" Yuri exclaimed. Hearing those words for the third time still send shivers down Daiki's spine.
"Let's go!" Yuri invited. Daiki couldn't do anything about it anymore as Yuri was pulling him towards the direction of the well known haunted house. Now, his knees are the ones that was feeling weak. His heart is beating faster as the approach haunted house.
"Here we are!" Yumi stood firmly in front of the haunted house. She pulled Daiki towards the ticket booth and waited at the line.
"Are you ready for this? I think this is going to be exciting!" Yuri, very enthusiastic now that they finally arrived to this. Daiki on the other hand was sweating. Nervousness overcame him. He wishes to go back but they are the next couple to go inside. Yuri grabbed him, held his hand tightly.
"Let's go!" as the one who manages the haunted house gave the signal to come inside. Inside his head, he was already screaming.
"Yuri ~ you know it's so dark in here. Is it okay to let me go back?" Daiki , trying to get out from this situation until the very last minute.
"You know the rules Daiki, there is only one entrance and one exit. You can only get out once you finish this." Hearing Yuri say that made Daiki's knees weak.
"Oh, I see." They both started walking through the dark path with only a few lights guiding their way. Everything was silent, the atmosphere feels like there will be something that will come out any moment.
"Yuri, I think we shouldn't do this. People who go inside haunted houses get heart attacks." Daiki pulled Yuri to stop, not even reaching 20 steps yet, making an excuse for himself.
"Nah, only those who have inborn heart problems shouldn't go inside a haunted house. Now, let's get moving." Yuri continued to march forward, excited to see what this chamber has in store for her.
"Let's hold hands, okay?" Daiki said. Yumi can feel Daiki's cold hands, unlike before when they were warm.
"Sure~" Now, they really walked forward. Daiki wants to get this over with. When he gets out of there alive, he's a very lucky man .. very lucky. During this, he remembered what he said before... "A guy screaming "Gyaaaaah" inside a haunted house is not very manly." Now, he is going to experience what he said. He was preoccupied with this when suddenly a man, actually a dummy, whose blood is dripping from his head holding a knife popped out from nowhere. Daiki's eyes widened and let go of Yuri's hand and ran away from the dummy.
"Daiki, wait! That was just a dummy." Daiki was already 10 steps away. He stopped to wait for Yuri, his heart was pounding like never before.
"If that was just the start, how am I going to survive this? I should have told her that I'm bad at haunted houses." Daiki regretted not telling Yuri about this. Yuri caught up with Daiki. They walked together once again. It was quiet. They continued walking and they saw a grave. There was nothing around there. Daiki kept staring at the grave. A second later, a hand punched out from the ground, surprising Daiki. Daiki screamed at the top of his lungs, hiding behind Yuri.
"Daiki, you know that it's just a fake hand right?"
"O~Of course." His hands were shaking, still scared.
"We're almost at the end Daiki."
"Thank you Lord!" Daiki was overjoyed. He wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. He was walking in a fast pace trying to reach the exit, even leaving Yuri behind when suddenly a white lady, whose dress was covered in blood and head detached faced him straightly. He was so scared that he fell on his butt, trying to get away from the lady dressed in white. Yuri came from behind and picked him up.
"No, I don't want to go near that!" Daiki screamed, burying his face in Yuri's back.
"Don't worry, it's gone now. We can get out."
"Really?" Daiki slowly looked at the place where the white lady once stood in.
"Yeah. Now, quit hiding and let's go." Yuri held Daiki's hand.
Daiki hissed a sigh of relief as soon as they were out. He was sweating but his heart slowly returned to its normal pace.
"I'm never going inside that again." Daiki told himself as he wiped his sweat off his forehead. Yuri caught up with him.
"Ne, there is still one more ride I want is to go to." Yuri said.
"If we're going to go inside that haunted house again, please just leave me out here."
"No, silly. I want to go there." Yuri pointed to the right. Daiki followed Yumi's point and saw the sign board at the entrance. "Tunnel of Love"'
"That? No problem." Daiki held Yuri's hand and stood in line for the chance to ride the Tunnel of Love. It's their last stop, it would be nice if they could just experience a soothing ride together. They were next. The operator offered them a cute boat, resembling a swan with a heart shaped back.
"Today was fun, isn't it." Yuri said.
"Yeah, except for the haunted house." Daiki's hand was still having tremors, just a mild one.
"Thank you~" Yuri said with a gentle and soothing tone, Daiki can really feel the warmth of Yuri's statement.
"You're very welcome. " Daiki replied with a smile.
Daiki slowly closed the gap between them, holding Yuri's hand as he slowly reached for Yuri's lips. He gave her a sweet and warm kiss to end the day as the ride was coming to an end.
