Surgery tomorrow

I go in tomorrow. Freaking out a little bit. Not much, but as I get older I get better at realizing when I'm really worrying about something, even if I don't actually look or act worried. I think I've spent my whole life worrying more about things than I ever let on to myself, or to anyone else ( Read more... )

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. As I remember from several of my oral surgeries, the pain meds really do help with falling asleep while sitting up. (And while talking or eating or doing other various activities that you'd prefer to remain awake for...) :P

Oooh, my mom had to go through this, along with a complete scraoing of her sinus cavities. She looked like she had been in a bar fight for weeks.

also, even though i knew what you were talking about i kept reading the title as "sugary tomorrow" which sounds awesome.

Having just gone through a very similar surgery in June, I hope you've got someone to escort you home afterward - you won't be able to drive, and you won't be very coherent afterward. It's a good idea to have someone sit with you for a day or two.

But good luck - it's totally worth it. You'll feel so much better!

Mom's coming to take me home afterwards. I won't have a personal sitter, but my friend Rani's going to be giving me a ride to the post-op appointment on Thursday.
