Reflection

The last few weeks have been full of significance for me, for various reasons. A friend in town, a friend married off, some other things more private.

Over the last few days I have reread The Book of the New Sun, by Gene Wolfe. It is one of my most favorite works. My boy cat Severian is named after the protagonist

This is potentially quite disturbing. Are you surrounded by enemies and victims? Or is this more about the concept of the choice of acceptance and rejection of those in your midst?

Last month was a pretty rough month, but I'm doing better. Had a job interview this afternoon, which is definitely a positive thing. No answer yet if I'm getting an offer, but just getting back into pretending I'm an employable human being is a good first step. :)
