Or more accurately, I would not have known that - American Bandstand was significantly before my time. The most I consciously knew about Dick Clark was that he hosted the big network New Year's Eve show - and I was never enough of a habitual TV watcher to actually watch his work.

I feel, now, like I missed something big. Something good.

Heaven will doubtless be more fun for his presence there, though.
